The 10-20 seconds is after the press reaches the 350-360 pressing temperature.  So once it reaches the pre-heated idle temperature of 220° F you put the cup in the press while it heats up to 350 F, then the 10-20 second timer will start.  So you are actually heating up the cup with the press and the total press time would be the time it takes to heat up to 350 F, plus the 10-20 seconds.  Which is probably around a minute for sure.
